| NAFP is mainly
producing softwood lumber with eastern SPF.
High quality softwood lumber, which is mainly used for
house building and renovation in Canada and the United
States, accounts for 80% of the total production. The
wood is sawn, dried and surfaced in dimensions of 1
to 3 inches thick, 3 to 8 inches wide and 4 to16 feet
long..

NAFP also produces value-added
items commonly called "Lagging." When
processed at the planer mill, this item is dressed
with different radius to manufacture reels of
various sizes for rolling up such items as electric
wires, etc.
The wood for these items comes
from different species like spruce, fir, pine,
aspen and tamarack.

NAFP also produces white pine for furniture.
Eastern
white cedar shingle is also produced by NAFP and it's
available in five categories: Extra, Clear, 2nd Clear,

advantage of cedar shingles is its high resistance to
rot and saltwater. It's very common to find these siding
shingles on houses built on coastal areas.
Finally NAFP produces white cedar fencing
board in different dimensions: 1 X 3, 1 X 4 and 1 X
6 in lengths of 4 to 8 feet.
By-products
such as chips and sawdust are delivered to pulp and
paper mills as well as to plants producing different
types of panels. shaving are sent to packing plants.
Bark is sold to co-generation plants for electricity
production.
NAFP focuses mainly on these markets:
Eastern Canada and three regions of the United States,
New England, the Midwest and the South. NAFP also has
